TNC connectors are threaded versions of the popular BNC connectors. Internally identical, they feature a screw type coupling mechanism which enables them to be used in severe environments, particularly vibration and shock, where the spring loaded bayonet locking mechanism of the BNC would not be suitable. Coupling nuts, except where noted, do not have wire holes. Intended for use with .150 to .250 diameter coaxial cables, San-tron also makes versions that will accept cables ranging from .094 to .420 in diameter. TNC connectors operate from DC to 11GHz and are weatherproof. Unless otherwise noted all San-tron TNC connectors are nickel plated and have silver plated center contacts. They are also available in other finishes such as silver or Albaloy and with gold plated center contacts. All San-tron TNC connectors will mate with connectors and adaptors which have MIL-STD-348 TNC interfaces.
